2023 marks the first year that Mock Trial competitions have ever been held in Dahlonega. Earlier this month, the Lumpkin County Courthouse was abuzz with activity on a Friday evening and all day Saturday. Mock Trial teams from Alpharetta High, Denmark High, North Forsyth High, South Forsyth High, and Lumpkin County High competed in a total of 3 competition trials. Many area judges and attorneys participated as evaluators. This event would not have been possible without the efforts of the Lumpkin County Courthouse Staff, namely Captain Jeff Brown, as well as local attorney Robyn Adams of R.K. Adams Law, and the new Dahlonega Regional Coordinator, Draik Edinger.
