Director of Community Engagement Jason Lemley recognized the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office as this month's Partner in Education at the August 2023 Board Meeting. LCSO was chosen for this month’s recognition in part due to their partnership with our Human Resources Department. Sheriff Jarrard and his staff provide a much more user-friendly procedure for our employees who are required to renew their background check once every five years. Not only has the LCSO made this much easier on LCSS employees by not requiring each individual come into the office for fingerprinting, but they also waived the fee for all our employees. Thank you, Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office, for your dedication to the Lumpkin County School District. We appreciate your partnership, and we look forward to working with you for many years to come.
