[Dahlonega, Georgia – September 29, 2026] – Lumpkin County Schools is proud to announce that its Class of 2026 achieved an outstanding 98.08% four-year graduation rate, placing the district third overall among all school systems in the Pioneer Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) region.

This remarkable achievement far surpasses Georgia’s statewide graduation rate of 88.5%, maintaining Lumpkin County’s long-standing reputation as one of the premier academic school districts in Northeast Georgia.

"Reaching a 98.08% graduation rate is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our students, teachers, administrators, and support staff," said Mrs. Sharon Head, Superintendent of Lumpkin County Schools. "Every percentage point represents individual students who have successfully earned their diploma and are prepared for college, career, and life beyond our classrooms. Ranking third in a highly competitive RESA region reinforces that our community's commitment to educational excellence continues to yield real, lasting results."

The Pioneer RESA region includes 15 public school systems across Northeast Georgia. Lumpkin County Schools' continued top-tier placement reflects a sustained focus on early intervention, individualized career path tracking, robust CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) programs, and strong community partnerships.
