Congratulations to Army Junior ROTC Cadet Liv Lusky for her victory at the 2022 JROTC Service Championships Regional Competition in Anniston, Alabama. The JROTC Service Regional Competition provided an opportunity for athletes to meet the challenges of a major shoulder-to-shoulder competition. This competition was a two-day shooting event, consisting of 20 shots in the prone position, 20 shots standing, and 20 shots in the kneeling position. The competition showcased the top shooters from TX, MO, SC, NC, GA, TN, FL and AL. Throughout the competition leading to the finals, Cadet Lusky ranked fourth place overall and earned one of the eight spots in the finals. She gained and maintained a strong lead as one of the top three shooters throughout the finals finishing third place overall and taking home the bronze medal!
Cadet Lusky will now advance to the 2022 JROTC Nationals at Camp Perry, Ohio held 17-19 March. Lusky will be the sole Army shooter from the state of Georgia, and we are excited to watch her continue to make LC proud. Her superior shooting earned her one of only five spots as the Army Precision Individual Top 5 shooters throughout the nation! Cadet Lusky will be representing the Army for this competition and competing against other branches of service: Navy, Marines and Airforce.
Good Luck, Cadet Lusky! Go Army! Go #TR1BE!
