Partner in Education
February 2022

This month’s Partner in Education is the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club represented this evening by Club President Dr. Patrick Conarro and club officers/members Deb Thompson, Tracy Sanford, Tiffany Yeoman, and Steve Schofield.

Our Partner in Education program here in Lumpkin County welcomes the involvement of all of our stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, parents, and community).  A partnership is a mutually agreed upon arrangement where both the school and the business, individual or organization is intended to benefit our schools, our students, our faculty, staff and families.

Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club was chosen for this month’s recognition in part due to their monthly recognition of one middle and one high school student as a ‘Service About Self’ awardee. These students, their parents, and their principal attend a Rotary meeting to be recognized for their service to their school and community. In addition to the monthly student recognition, Sunrise Rotary sponsors scholarships each spring for our graduating seniors.

Thank you, Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary, for your dedication to the Lumpkin County School District.  We appreciate your partnership, and we look forward to working with you for many years to come.
