TONIGHTS CHALLENGE is a CLASS CHALLENGE PER GRADE LEVEL! The CLASS IN EACH GRADE LEVEL that brings in the most pledges TONIGHT ONLY will earn a DONUT PARTY!!! This challenge will allow for ONE class of each grade level to work together to win the challenge! This is a great chance to earn a BONUS prize in addition to your normal prizes! Parents! The BES BOOSTERTHON FUN RUN is just 2 WEEKS AWAY! The BES FUN RUN will help our school AND teach our students character. This year, we’re raising funds to Enhance General Programs at BES! Last year we raised money for the following:
IXL - Math and ELA - a website that allows true differentiation for students in math and ELA skills based on what they already know and the skills they need to acquire.
Reflex Math - a math game based website that helps students with their math fact fluency. Data shows that this is helping our students learn their math facts
Individual white boards, erasers, and markers for all students to aid in the teaching of our new phonics program
Headphones for Chrome Books
Specialized furniture for some of our special education classrooms
Prizes for reading goals and the summer slide reading program.

What a great turnout on such a dreary day for our All Pro Dads Breakfast! Second and third grade students enjoyed donuts with their dads as Mr. Froggatt delivered a program on dependability. We want to thank our BES dads for coming out in the pouring rain and making this event a success!
LCSS will host a free parent training next Wednesday, January 22, about "Ending the Silence" ~ "Do you have questions about children's mental health?"
presented by NAMI ~ National Alliance on Mental Health.
