
Our cafeteria staff at LCMS has worked hard to decorate our cafeteria and cook an amazing meal for our kids today. We have so many things to be thankful for here at LCMS and our cafeteria staff is definitely included. Happy early Thanksgiving to all.




HOSA is thankful for faculty and staff at LCMS. Yesterday, HOSA members chose a special faculty educator/staff member to honor by inviting them to breakfast. HOSA students honored each guest with a heartfelt speech, breakfast, and a rose.

LCMS would like to thank some of the members of the Blue Ridge Rifles for coming out last week and sharing their knowledge about our local history related to the civil war to our 8th grade Georgia Studies classes. Our kids were amazed at the artifacts and experience.





The Lumpkin County Riflery team opened their season last week. The team consists of middle and high school students and did a great job in the brand new facility at LCHS. Good luck this season Indians!!!

Today, the planet Mercury crossed the face of the sun in a rare Mercury transit. Mrs Jones, STEAM teacher, arranged for visitors, including Mr Jones, to come to LCMS to set up telescopes so our kids could view the event, which will not be visible from Earth again until 2032.





The LCMS basketball teams kicked off their season tonight. The boys played at home and girls played away. Our 8th grade boys took home their first win of the season 31-18 with a very strong first half.





The LCMS wrestling team started off their season by winning the Jr Mountaineer Tournament today. Great job Indians and coaches.




The LCMS competition cheerleading team represented our school very well this morning at their competition at Dawson County High School. Great job Indians on an amazing season.

On November 21st at 8:30PM, Pioneer RESA will be broadcasting the 3rd Annual "A Parent's Guide to Raising Digital Natives" Facebook LIVE event covering the LATEST and most trending topics that are relevant to teens and children, such as Gaming, Social Media, Security, Privacy.


Our LCMS students are attending Junior Achievement at the Cottrell Center today. BOE Member, Lynn Sylvester, accompanied our students as a volunteer to provide this experiential learning experience! Thank you, Cottrell JA Discovery Center, Mrs. Sylvester, and all the volunteers!

LMCS will be hosting the fall Family Engagement and Title 1 Night on October 29th from 5:00-7:00 pm. We will have a free spaghetti dinner for all while supplies last as well as a costume contest where will will awards a winner for one K-5 student, one 6th grader, one 7th grader, and one 8th grader. We will also have many more things for our students and families to do. Mr.
Remillard will also conduct the LCMS annual Title 1 presentation and answer questions related to Title 1. We hope you can attend.

LCMS 7th grade football played Fannin County for the championship tonight at Pickens. The boys played hard and won 30-0.
