It is truly an honor to recognize the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary as our Featured Partner in Education for March 2026.

We chose to celebrate Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary for three very important reasons.

First, their commitment to celebrating student character and service is remarkable. Each month, they recognize one student from Lumpkin County Middle School and one from Lumpkin County High School as the Service Above Self Student of the Month. These students, along with their parents, are invited to a Rotary meeting where they are honored with a certificate and a monetary award. By doing this, Rotary is not only recognizing achievement, but reinforcing the values of leadership, service, and integrity in our young people.

Second, their investment in our district-wide R3 Day this fall demonstrated their deep commitment to student success. Through a generous $10,000 donation, they helped make possible a day focused on reading for our 2nd graders, resilience for our 8th graders, and real-world readiness for our 12th graders. With over 100 volunteers supporting the day — many of whom were Rotarians — their impact was both financial and hands-on. They didn’t just fund the work; they showed up for our students.

And finally, Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary continues to change lives through the thousands of dollars in scholarships they award to graduating seniors each year. Their investment in our students extends beyond high school and into their futures.

For their unwavering support, their generosity, and their belief in the potential of every student in Lumpkin County, we are proud to recognize Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary as our Featured Partner in Education for March 2026.

Joni and Michelle are champions for our students each and every day. They provide compassion, guidance, advocacy, and unwavering support—helping students navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive both academically and emotionally. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt throughout our entire school community.

Because of Joni and Michelle, our students feel heard, supported, and empowered. Our schools are stronger, kinder, and more connected because of their dedication.

Please join us in thanking Joni and Michelle for the vital difference they make in the lives of our students and families. We are grateful for you today and every day! 💙
