In January, Amber Sugarman (Senior) participated in All-State Reading Chorus, an extremely select ensemble comprised of the top sight readers in the state of Georgia. In February, Johnovan Barron (Freshman) participated in the 9th and 10th Grade Mixed Ensemble at All-State Chorus. Both students had to pass a difficult audition to be selected for their ensembles, and they represented LCHS extremely well!

Congratulations to the LCHS Mock Trial Team for becoming the 2024 Region Champions. LCHS won ALL 3 rounds by unanimous consent of the evaluation judges. Additionally, the following students won Outstanding Attorney Awards: Zoha Munshi, Destiny Nichols, and Sadie Peterson. And, Outstanding Witness awards went to Rochelle Rodriguez (2xs) and Layla Rose Mellius-Paddick. Lumpkin County is #1 in a region that includes 5 other schools from Forsyth, Fulton, and Hall Counties. Way to go Tribe!

On February 9th & 10th, the LCHS Mock Trial Team will be competing in 3 rounds of Regionals at the Lumpkin County Courthouse. Our students will be interacting with and arguing their case in front of area attorneys and leaders in our community. If you are able and interested in joining us to support our students, please see the information below. MOCK TRIAL REGION COMPETITION LOCATION & SCHEDULE INFORMATION LUMPKIN COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER (COURTHOUSE) 325 RILEY ROAD DAHLONEGA, GA 30533 Friday, February 9th: Round 1 ................................. 6:30 p.m. Saturday, February 10th: Round 2 ........................................ 9:00 a.m. Round 3 ........................................ 12:30 p.m. (approx.) Start time for the 3rd round depends on the completion of scoring from the prior round. Please be patient with the coordinating teams and any schedule delays. Little Indians Bus- The Little Indians bus allows Teaching As a Profession students the opportunity to work with children throughout the semester. These future teachers are working to build literacy skills for our littlest Indians. Once the TAP students complete the pathway, they will have 90+ hours of time working with children.
