Mental health of our students is an important issue every day but takes a front seat even more so during times like these. Please consider joining these informative Zoom sessions on how to handle issues of mental health in our young people. #TR1BE

The beginning of the 2019-2020 school year kicked off in early August with our educators donning their new t-shirts. No one knew then just how appropriate the motto on the back would apply now.
Every day, as educators, as students, as parents, and as a community, we find a new way to 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝑩𝒐𝒅𝒍𝒚.
We want to hear from you! How are you marching boldly right now? Tell us what school at home is like for you. We want to hear from teachers, from students, and from teachers!
Email us at 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐲@𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬.𝐜𝐨𝐦 with a sentence, a couple/few sentences, a photograph, a video clip, a drawing, or whatever fits your answer to the question: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞?
We need your responses by this Friday, April 17th.
Thank you, Dollar General of Dahlonega, for your donation of coloring books and crayons for some of our elementary students! We appreciate your support of our school system and our students. #TR1BE

Some of our students are having fun with STEAM during their distance learning days. Check out these two projects from LCES students! #BuildWithBreaux

Our partners at Georgia HOPE offer some great resources and advice to our families during this time.

When Northeast Georgia Health System reached out this week asking if we had any goggles we could donate to them, our teachers didn't hesitate to take action. As a collective effort from all five schools, we donated 475 goggles to NGHS! #TR1BE

𝐀 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐚 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄:
If your child is experiencing any sadness, anger, frustration, anxiety, or any other mental health symptoms, please know that there is help. Even during COVID-19, your child can receive mental health support through the phone or video. Simply contact Georgia HOPE at 706-279-0405 OR https://gahope.org/make-a-referral/.
We at Georgia HOPE have learned along with you that children will not be returning to school for the remainder of the school year. We always depend on educators and other community partners to identify and link children and families in need to our services daily. Typically, we see a large spike in referrals prior to school letting out for the summer which allows us to serve families when school is not in session. Without your referrals we have no way of knowing which children are at risk of suffering alone until they are able to return to school this fall. We are continuing to offer all of our services while following appropriate CDC guidance to keep ourselves and clients safe.
Here's to hoping you are finding as much fun during our spring break as you all did on our last Family Fun Friday! #TR1BE

Congratulations to Ansley Jordan (Visual Arts) and Piper Spraker (Physics) for being named finalists for Georgia’s Governor’s Honors Program! Piper and Ansley were 2 of the 600 high school students selected for this residency program at Berry College this summer. #TR1BE

We are providing additional mental health resources for anyone may need them.

As a parent during these trying times, we want to help you as you help your children. As always, please let us know if your children need a counselor to talk with during these days and weeks. We are available to them. #TR1BE
