8th graders at LCMS had their annual rocket day!

Our CTAE Department hosted our district's fourth grade students last week for an in-system field trip aptly named, "4th Grade CTAE Day." We aren't sure who had more fun--the fourth graders, the 4th grade teachers, the high school students or the CTAE teachers?!

In recent weeks, school districts across the state and nation have been alerted to numerous hoax threats (mostly through social media) referencing various acts of school violence. Most, if not all, of these threats do not mention a specific school or location. As of today, no threat we’ve seen or been made aware of references our school system or any of our schools. Nonetheless, we are taking all necessary measures to keep our school and our students’ safety as our top priority. We appreciate your continued support of Lumpkin County Schools.

Another successful Field Day for LCES!
