In an effort to provide up-to-date information to our families and community, our COVID-19 Data Dashboard is now live. You can access our data by going to our website (https://www.lumpkinschools.com) and clicking on the COVID-19 Dashboard link in the upper right corner. The data points displayed on the first page of the dashboard are from the previous school day. To see historical data going back to the very first day of school, the second page of the dashboard will allow you to pick a date or date range. If you experience technical difficulties with accessing the information and/or you would like to receive the previous day data in your email inbox every morning, please email jason.lemley@lumpkinschools.com.

COVID-19 Dashboard Data for Friday, August 20, 2021

The impacts of the pandemic on manufacturing didn't spare the textbook industry. LCSS went through the textbook review and adoption process last school year for our Social Studies textbooks at LCHS. Due to manufacturing issues, the available editions are different than the editions we reviewed. Because of this, we are opening up the two-week review process for the following three textbooks: World History, American Government, and US History. These three textbooks will be on display for public review starting today (August 20th) through Thursday, September 3rd. To review these textbooks and provide input to our LCSS Curriculum Department, please visit the LC District Office between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

With the end of our second full week back, we continue to see and hear our students building relationships with their peers. We hope parents will engage with their child’s teacher(s) and keep those lines of communication open as we build relationships with our families! #TR1BE

Students in Mrs. Gastley's class are using our 1:1 technology to engage in a friendly competition of Kahoot! Learning in and out of the classroom is complemented by the technology resources of today, and our students are well-equipped in this twenty-first century! #TR1BE

LCSS appreciates our partnerships with the Dahlonega-Lumpkin Chamber, UNG, Lanier Tech, and MECHS. Hearing from these leaders at today's State of Education luncheon was inspiring for our #TR1BE as we continue to engage our community in educating and empowering lifelong learners!

Students at Blackburn Elementary School enjoy time with their friends on the way to and during their lunch break. With free breakfast and lunch for every student, every day in our cafés, students are sure to get a well-balanced and healthy meal to fuel their brains! #TR1BE
