We appreciate all of you sharing our informational posts on the ESPLOST vote. As we are sure you are aware, the state has moved the items on the March 24th ballot to May 19th. That gives us all two more months to spread the word! #TR1BE

In accordance with Governor Kemp’s Executive Order, Lumpkin County Schools will remain closed through March 31, 2020. Closing beyond this date will be determined based on how things develop between now and then. Our teachers and staff remain prepared to serve our students even from afar!

It's School Board Appreciation Week, and we want to highlight a different school board member each day this week. First up is our board chairman, Mr. Bobby Self.

Clarification on assignments for this week: All students should have 4 days of assignments as we had 4 instructional days on our school calendar this week. Since today was needed to prepare the online format, assignments may not have been posted early enough for students to complete the assignments today. You may need to use Friday for the 4th day this week unless you got started today.

Today is a day of preparation for our faculty and staff in Lumpkin County Schools! Our teachers are planning together to make sure our students have engaging lessons during our school closures, and our custodians are busy deep-cleaning all of our schools! #TRIBE

In the event that Lumpkin County Schools are closed for an additional week or weeks, we will be offering delivery of breakfast and lunch to children under 18 (or under 21 for anyone with a disability) or any student in Lumpkin County Schools. This delivery service will begin in our community the week of March 23rd. This is at no cost. LCES is over 50 years old! Many of you went to school in that building, and it's pretty amazing to see over 500 students go to school there every single day. But, do you want a new LCES for our students and our community? We do, too! #prideinthetribe

Important Message from Lumpkin County Schools: Schools will be in session on Friday, March 13th for all staff and students, but schools will be closed for a minimum of one week beginning Monday, March 16th.
