Due to potentially dangerous road conditions, Lumpkin County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay on Friday, February 7, 2020. This delay will give our bus drivers, parents, and staff an opportunity to travel with the benefit of daylight.
We will continue to monitor the weather and local road conditions throughout the night.
As always, our first priority is on the safety and security of our students and staff.
Thank you for your continued support!

February is CTAE Month for the State of Georgia, and Lumpkin County is proud of our strong CTAE programs! #CTAEDelivers #TR1BE

The graduating senior with the highest SAT score on a single test date is our Class of 2020 STAR Student, Katy Carroll! Katy selected Mrs. Betsy Brown as her STAR teacher for having the biggest impact on her scholastic development! Congratulations to Katy and Mrs. Brown!

Our principals are leading by example in creating vertical awareness in our district. By trading roles today, Mr. Kirk, LCHS Principal, stepped in at Long Branch Elementary while Mrs. Mullinax, LBES Principal, served at Lumpkin Co High. There isn't a better way to understand the challenges or to observe the amazing things happening in our schools than to see it with your own eyes. #TR1BE

Our local coverage is impressive. Being picked up by a national news source is a cherry on top! Look at the viewership, the shares, and the comments on this Cleveland, Ohio coverage of Adulting Day at LCHS!
