Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the FOURTH Habitat for Humanity house built by our students on the LCHS campus. Construction is already underway, and we look forward to seeing this fourth house finished and moved to Habitat Lane in June 2020!

Don't forget that Monday is a holiday for our students. Enjoy your three-day weekend; the weather is going to be perfect!

It's always an honor for our school system to present at regional and state conferences. Dr. Brown and Mr. Windham shared our new Music Industry Pathway with superintendents, principals, and administrators at this week's 3rd Annual Charter System Foundation Fall Conference!

Early Release for Parent Conferences tomorrow!

It's fitting that Kurt Thomas and Radford Windham spent some time in the Zac Brown Booth today! All three (Thomas, Windham, and Brown) graduated from LCHS and spent some time playing music together back in the 90s. Although it's special enough to have Kurt and Radford in the booth, the real star is that guitar! The oldest Martin guitar still in circulation and being played is this 1846 beauty. Thanks, Kurt, for stopping by Cottrell Recording Studio @ Indian Drive today!

The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Cottrell Recording Studio @ Indian Drive and the Zac Brown Booth is this Thursday at noon! Join us at LCHS for the event and light refreshments!

It was a great day for #LumpkinMatters at LCHS. We are grateful for our #TR1BE coming out to support the community!

Long Branch Elementary School participated in Rock Your School on Thursday, and the lunchroom got in on the action, too!

Congratulations to all Lumpkin County Schools for winning the BRONZE Golden Radish Award for 2018-19!
This award is due to our Farm To School efforts--including interaction with farmers, edible gardens at schools, teachers incorporating Farm to School into standards-based curriculum, student participation in food & cooking activities, parent & community involvement and promotions in our school cafeterias!
Let's go for GOLD or PLATINUM this year!

7th Grade Language Arts classes created a scene from the Outsiders with a comic book storyboard to establish tone, conflict and more. These 7th grade students were engaged and active in their learning throughout the entire class!

Great job, Mrs. Amber Gilleland and the LCHS Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA), for your presentation to the Lumpkin County Health Care Connections Committee this morning!
