Thanks to the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program, students at LBES sampled fresh butternut squash (just in time for the season!) and seckel pears last week. LC School Nutrition for the win!

Our Summit Academy students visited the BOE yesterday going from office to office trick-or-treat style to learn about each person’s job. Not only did students leave with valuable experience in inter-personal communication, but they also left with a bag full of treats and LC swag!

Mr. Cole Martin and LBES 2nd graders practiced a classic: 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐴𝑑𝑑𝑎𝑚𝑠 𝐹𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦 theme song! Introducing the students to bucket drumming (à la Home Depot), these students are getting in the Halloween mood and spirit!

𝐏𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Mrs. Gaudino's kindergartners dissected a 🎃today! Not only did students learn about the different parts, but they sampled baked pumpkin seeds, helped carve a jack-o-lantern, and started the decomposition process. Over the next several weeks, Mrs. Gaudino's class will check outside on their decomposing pumpkin and watch as it sprouts new life!
