𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆:
We are excited about the significant improvements we have made at Long Branch Elementary School. Our school board invested a significant amount of money to make things better for our students by replacing all of the lights inside the building, adding a new parking lot so visitors do not have to park on the road, and adding a new playing field for our students to enjoy at recess. We even replaced the playground equipment and added some shade structures there for those hot days.
In addition, we replaced all of the student and teacher furniture inside of the building, we faced delays in receiving the furniture and need to make a change to our open house schedule. We will not be able to accommodate visitors during the scheduled times tomorrow.
Unfortunately, we must change the open house times to begin at 5:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM tomorrow. This will allow the furniture company to get the furniture assembled during the day tomorrow and help us be ready for your visit at 5:00.
This change is for Long Branch Elementary only. All other school open houses will remain as scheduled.
We apologize for this late notice and for this change, but we feel it is safer to delay the open house a few hours than it is to have our visitors intertwined with the 30 furniture company employees working.
We hope to see you tomorrow at 5:00 PM as we kick off a great year at Long Branch!

We are looking to add to your staff in the LC Transportation Department. Come join our TR1BE!

The Back to School Bash hosted by community organizations is starting now off Hamp Mill Road! Load up the kids and head on over for some great resources and lots of freebies!

From the breakfast and networking first thing this morning to the inspirational message from Superintendent Dr. Rob Brown to the full day of engaging professional learning sessions to the distribution of our new district t-shirts, today was a banner day for LC! Special thanks to our administrators, our teacher leaders, and our partnering agencies for making today possible!

Due to guidance released just yesterday from the Georgia Department of Education, we are currently amending student schedules at all three of our elementary schools. Please allow our administrators and registrars through the weekend to make the necessary changes. Contacting the school by phone or email to ask about your child's teacher will only slow down the process.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Even with this delay, we are excited for the new school year and for you and your child to meet teachers Tuesday during our elementary open house! In fact, to accommodate work schedules, we've added an additional time for Elementary Schools Open House from 5:00-6:00 PM that evening.
